Our Senior Moments Respite Program is designed to provide meaningful, enriching experiences for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of memory impairment. Each month, participants enjoy a safe, welcoming environment where they can engage in enjoyable activities, share a meal, and connect with others, while giving their caregivers a much needed and well deserved break.
Activities vary each month and may include interactive games, music, pet therapy visits, creative projects, dancing, singing, and, of course, a delicious lunch to round out the day.
Our compassionate team of volunteer caregivers is specially trained through the Alzheimer’s Association, with ongoing guidance and support from our Program Director.
If you’d like to enroll a loved one in Senior Moments or are interested in volunteering for this rewarding program, please contact our Program Director, Tammy Genegon.
The program meets on the first Wednesday of each month, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and pre-registration is required.
This program is made possible in part by generous support from the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Legacy Funds, administered by the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, as well as Calvary Baptist Church of LeRoy, the Victor L. and Maudaline L. Blood Charitable Foundation, and Living Waters Church of LeRoy. We are deeply grateful for their commitment to our mission.
